The KWI PDrive Float Package is a precision-engineered clutch upgrade designed to correct critical alignment issues in PDrive-equipped Can-Am machines — fixing the root causes of hard shifting, secondary spin at idle, excessive belt wear, and premature clutch failure. Every PDrive Float begins with a complete inspection and diagnostic of both primary and secondary clutches before any modifications are performed. If worn or damaged components are found, KWI will send a full estimate for approval before any work continues.
The PDrive primary clutch has two known factory issues that compound each other. First, internal components swell under heat, causing the primary to stay engaged at idle — creating belt drag, hard shifting, and secondary spin in park or neutral. Second, PDrive primary rollers wear quickly, allowing the governor cup to shift and preventing the clutch from opening fully. Left unaddressed, both issues accelerate belt and clutch wear until failure. The KWI PDrive Float corrects both — all sheaves are precision-machined, trued, and resurfaced for optimal belt contact, and the secondary is machined to float on the shaft, allowing it to self-align with the primary throughout operation. The result is a belt centered evenly across all four sheaves, eliminating the misalignment the factory system never corrected. A fresh set of BRP OEM Primary Rollers is included with every package — though KWI strongly recommends inspecting rollers after every ride and replacing them the moment any side-to-side play or visible wear appears.

Float+ — Everything in the Float, plus the AO-P1 Clutch Kit for improved RPM control, smoother engagement, and better low-to-mid range power delivery.
Float Pro — Everything in the Float+, plus the KWI Groovix Helix for aggressive backshifting, superior belt grip, and active cooling performance under hard riding conditions.
Float Pro Aggressive — Everything in the Float Pro, plus the Blue/Pink Aggressive Secondary Spring for maximum belt grip, sharper clutch response, and performance tuned for riders pushing the hardest.
Important: This product requires you to send your Primary and Secondary clutches to KWI for installation. This service must be performed in our shop to ensure proper fitment and performance.
